Using ICT
In Harberton School we aim to embed the learning and teaching of ICT across the curriculum.
At present each classroom has 4/5 computers, either PCs or laptops. These computers are networked to the C2K system and provide a wide range of programs as well as Internet facilities. There are also further Stand-alone computers in Key Stage 1 classrooms.
Each classroom has an Interactive White Board and ICT resources specifically designed to meet the needs of the children in the class.
All KS1 classrooms have 5 iPads which are used in a cross curricular way. In the KS2 classrooms each child has their own iPad. They contain a wide range of Apps and are updated regularly to meet the needs of all the children.
We have a resource area ICT suite containing 14 laptops which is timetabled for use throughout the Key Stage 2 and Intensive Support classes.
We have been highly commended in the Capita Awards and are in the process of reapplying for this year. We have been awarded a charter mark for our participation in the 360 E-Safety programme.
