GENERAL INFORMATION


SCHOOL UNIFORM
The school uniform consists of a school polo shirt, sweatshirt, grey trousers /skirt, sweatshirt, grey trousers/skirt and black shoes.  The school P.E. kit consists of a royal blue t-shirt and shorts and black plimsoles.  This will be kept in school.  Please ensure all uniform is clearly labelled with your child's name.

SCHOOL DINNERS
School dinners are £2.70 per day - £13.50 per week.  Please ensure dinners are paid for each Monday via the online payment system 'School Money'.  If you are entitled to free school meals, forms are available from school.  Alternatively, your child can take a packed lunch.  Please note fizzy drinks must not be sent to school.  

Harberton's Healthy Eating Policy can be accessed under our 'Policies and Documents' tab and hard copies are also available upon request.


SWIMMING
Pupils from year 4, 5, 6 and 7 use the swimming pool at Fleming Fulton pool for a 6 week session.  You will be informed when your child’s class will go.  Please send in a swimming costume and towel for your child each week during their class swimming sessions.


ABSENCES/APPOINTMENTS
If your child has a planned absence e.g. a hospital appointment, please inform the child's teacher and bus/taxi driver the day before.


PHOTOGRAPHS
Occasionally your child may be photographed in school for the school newsheet or for special events by the local press.  If you do not wish your child’s photograph to appear in these, please inform your child’s teacher.


ILLNESS
If your child is feeling unwell please carefully consider whether or not you should send him/her to school.  For legal and insurance reasons school staff are not supposed to transport sick pupils home.  Children must stay at home for 48 hours after their last episode of vomiting/diarrhoea.
