Physical Education

The main aims of Physical Education in Harberton are to

  • Aid the physical development of every child.
  • Provide enjoyment and success.
  • Develop appreciation of fair play.
  • Develop good sportsmanship and encourage each pupil to contribute their full potential in team games.


Physical Education has an important role to play in the life of each pupil in Harberton.

In primary 1-3, pupils get at least two sessions of P.E each week.

In primary 4-7, pupils have the opportunity to swim as well as one or two sessions of P.E per week.

There are many sporting highlights in the school year to look forward to e.g 5-a-side football tournament, indoor athletics competitions, dance morning, swimming galas & sports days.
