Occupational Therapy

The aim of Occupational Therapy (OT) is to help children achieve their full potential in their childhood occupations. Children’s occupations include engaging in school activities, playing, having fun and developing their independence with self-care skills (feeding & dressing themselves etc.). OTs use a variety of fun and stimulating activities to develop these skills. OTs work closely with education and other health professionals.
 
OT is provided within our school setting through the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and takes place in a well-equipped, bright and welcoming OT room. We are fortunate to have multiple OTs, who are well-known figures in the school community and are extremely popular with all the children.
